Sinopsis / Synopsis:

Alto, gordo y colorado es el Amapolo, presidente municipal de un pueblo del Bajío. Sus cuatro hermosas hijas no encuentran pretendientes pues todos los jovenes le tienen miedo al padre. Cuatro hermanos acuden a la feria del pueblo y conocen a las chicas. El amor florece y pronto el temido Amapolo tendrá que tomar cartas en el asunto.

The Mayor of a small town is well respected and feared. He has four beautiful daughters of marriageable age, yet they have no suitors. All the eligible young men are afraid of him. He is  believed to be a cold, short tempered, strict widower. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is a caring, loving father and a devoted son to his mother. One day four brothers new in town attend the annual fair and meet the girls.
